STANDARD PROGRAM

The standard membership plan is $38.50 per month, with an initial $73.50 sign-up fee ($35.00 enrollment + $38.50 first month’s dues). A portion of the dues establishes each member with a legal fund ATLA applies toward attorney payments. Professional drivers are protected from the first day of joining. We fight all moving violations, big rig and private auto, in the United States and Canada. We fight pending CDL suspensions. Hassle, overweight, parking, and equipment tickets are fought on a case-by-case basis upon a free review. DAC problems are tackled. ATLA pays the first $100 toward the discounted, flat-rate, attorney fee. Monthly statements are mailed to members. Payment by members can be done on-line, automatic bank account withdrawal, debit card, credit card, com check, money gram, Western Union, personal check, and money order. Cancellation of enrollment for all programs must be done by the member, in writing, via fax or regular mail.

PRE-EXISTING PROGRAM

Professional drivers join under this program if they already have a ticket, or tickets, to fight. Tickets with pending court dates fall under this program. We preview tickets that are old, with court dates passed, for possible success. Hassle, overweight, parking and equipment tickets are fought on a case-by-case basis after free review. Members joining under the Pre-Existing Program establish their legal fund with 8 months of dues at $399.50 with one ticket. (Payment arrangements available.) Each additional ticket setup fee is $64.00. No dues are paid for 8 months. Dues then begin again at $38.50 monthly. The Pre-Existing Program is a commitment of 8 month's membership. Members pay the discounted attorney fee for each pre-existing ticket. ATLA pays $100 for attorney fees on future tickets.

REFERRAL PROGRAM

For all other legal matters – civil, criminal, labor problems, DUI, child support, DAC issues, breach of contract – ATLA connects professional drivers with discounted, winning attorneys in those areas. A joining member pays $137.50 ($35.00 enrollment fee, $38.50 monthly dues, and $64.00 referral fee). Most attorneys work for members at discounted, flat rates; varying with type of case. Current members receive referrals free of charge.

COMPANY PROGRAM

ATLA offers discounted rates to companies that join with a minimum of 5 drivers. Companies send one monthly payment to cover all members; although each driver has an individual membership. The Company Program is effective is keeping employees on the road – not in court. Insurance rates stay down as tickets are won.

TICKET SUBMISSIONS

When members receive a ticket, they follow these steps:

  • Make a copy of front and back of the ticket to keep.
  • Write an explanation (nothing fancy) of exactly what happened.
  • Via guaranteed delivery, send ATLA the original ticket, explanation and money required. Check with us at 1-800-525-4285 if you are not sure about money amounts.
  • Unless the court date is immediate, telephone ATLA 3 days after mailing it.
  • If court date is immediate, fax the ticket and explanation to 253-565-6141. This is the exception – not routine. Call before faxing, and after, to be sure everything was received.

Please do not use regular mail. Documents get lost. Overnight mail and 3-day priority mail (with a delivery confirmation receipt) can be done from the post office. Federal Express, Airborne Express and UPS also work, but are more costly.

Payments - Payment by members and joining members can be made on-line, or be made by automatic bank account withdrawal, debit card, credit card, com check, money gram, Western Union, personal check, and money order.
